Take these simple steps to enjoy crispy fresh salad and greens while aboard.
- Be careful placing leafy veggies in the fridge. If the leaves touch the metal sides or floor of the fridge, they may freeze!
- Take the time to put your greens in a plastic sealable storage container if you are not using them immediately (it will protect the greens better than plastic bag will). Place absorbent paper or a clean cloth on the top and bottom of the container to surround the greens and keep them dry.
- Plan your meals! Eat raw greens first, make cooked greens the star of the show after a week, and finally use any greens left as ingredient/accents after 10 days.
